If all you want is a very, very brief overview of the city, it is OK. Say, you are only going to be in Changhai for 24 or 36 hours.
They haven't steered us wrong yet, and we've purchased about 8 of these for different cities. Ondine and Sweet Melinda's were both great restaurants.
I liked the book, map was great too
2014 in Amazon's title is misleading. Although printed in 2013, this book was most recently updated in 2011. The maps and neighborhood overviews are cursory at best.
can't wait for the festival and so many of the other attractions mentioned in the guide! It is going to be a blast!
This guide is way overpriced for what you get. And...pay close attention to the size...it looks like a nice 8-1/2 x 11 booklet but it is very, very small...4 x 6, I think... When you get past 40,you cannot read type this small. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART. Thanks, Amazon...youasked for my opinion...a very disappointing purchase!
The guide is very limited. It only guides you to the most excpensive places.No museums, no places to see, and no normal shopping, no parks, and no historical districts of interest.I was very dissapointed with this particular boston guide.And what's more, the price of it is exuberant.
Loved the Zurich Wallpaper book as it pointed to a bunch of quirky and interesting sites around town. Thought I'd get the one for my home city to discover some hidden gems. Not so much. Really nothing in here of note or worth discovering. Disappointing.
