I checked this out from the library for a class. This was such a great deal, I purchased for future classes and to have on hand.
The text book came in great condition for being used at a great price. It is a very large book. Very user friendly.
This book is not as well written as some, taking a long time to introduce what the internet is and in general assuming you know absolutely nothing, rather than getting to current practices. Although it is updated recently, it feels outdated.I would recommend the "HTML, XHTML, and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide" by Elizabeth Castro as a clear, colorful alternative that helps you spend less time reading and easily reference key topics. "Stylin' With CSS" by Charles-Wyke Smith is also good.I had to buy these books for classes and will definitely sell this book and keep the others once the classes are over.Suggested:Stylin' with CSS: A Designer's Guide (2nd Edition)HTML, XHTML, and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide, MobiPocket

I had to purchase this book as my textbook for a Web Development class at Milwaukee Area Technical College. I am taking the class online with very little interaction with my instructor or fellow students. Using this book, I am able to understand how to complete each weekly assignment. This is a great book. It helped me with my web page development course which didn't have a book just down loads from the instructor. Using the book helped me get an A in the course, and not have to take the final!!!!
